Presentation Addressed Technologies Needed for Space Exploration and Utilization

Alex Ignatiev, professor of physics at the University of Houston, made a presentation on technologies needed for space exploration and utilization at the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Kazakhstan National Center for Space Research.

Ignatiev also met with Cosmonaut Talgat Moussabaiev, the director of the Kazakhstan Space Agency, where they discussed mutual collaboration on advanced materials processing in space.

Kazakhstan has rapidly moved its space program from mainly support of Russian rocket launches at the Baikonur Cosmodrome to a dedicated research and technology development program for space exploration and utilization. Ignatiev has been asked to advise the Kazakhstan Space Agency on future development of technologies for space.
