Physics major Aljoscha Puchstein received a UH Provost Undergraduate Research Scholarship under the mentorship of Prof. Nacer BADI at the Center for Advanced Materials (CAM) and the Nanoelectronics and Nanoenergetics Laboratory (NNL).
The goal of his research is to advance green energy enabling technologies by developing a wide spectrum of organic/non-organic materials built at the nanoscale. Notable among these are nanodielectrics for supercapacitors applications, nanotubes, nanowires and nanopillars which are under consideration as electrodes for advanced energy generation, storage, and conversion devices. This Project is supported by sophisticated design, meaningful simulation, fabrication, and characterization tools.
