MSDS Open House
Master of Science in Data Science (MSDS) Open House
Day/Date: Friday, April 6th
Time: 1:00-3:00pm
Location: SEC 206
Data Science is advancing rapidly in the 21st century. It offers great job opportunities for students who understand how to analyze large data sets and have acquired computational skills to discover hidden relationships between high dimensional data.
The Department of Mathematics, at the University of Houston, has recently launched a new Master Program in Statistics and Data Science. This is full-time Hybrid program which consists of 30 credit hours and can be completed in 1 year.
We will be having an open house to discuss the program in more detail and also to showcase statistics and data science research via posters. The MSDS research group designed these posters to demonstrate research in the following areas: public health, cancer research, finance data (stock market modeling) and sports (NBA data) modeling, environmental research, etc.)
