EAS Welcomes Two New Postdoctoral Researchers
Their Research Will be in the Areas of Petroleum Geochemistry and Geophysics

Jinquiang Tan
Jinquiang TanDr. Jinquiang Tan is a petroleum geochemist whose focus area is the geology and geochemistry of unconventional shale resources that he studied in southern China for his 2014 Ph.D. dissertation from the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences. His postdoctoral research at the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences’ Center for Petroleum Geochemistry will be supervised by Dr. Adry Bissada and will focus on the hydrous pyrolysis and kinetics of source rocks and the thermal maturation and evolution of organic matter.

Hao Hu
Hao HuDr. Hao Hu is a geophysicist who completed his 2015 Ph.D. dissertation on various methods of seismic data processing at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. At UH, his postdoctoral research will be supervised by Dr. Yingcai Zheng and will focus on reservoir fracture imaging.
