COSC Undergraduate Scholarship

Computer Science (COSC) undergraduate scholarships are merit-based scholarships awarded to continuing* COSC undergraduates. These scholarships are funded by various individual and industry donors to support the academic success of students. The scholarship does not automatically renew each academic year; recipients must re-apply academic each year.

*Note: The current application is only for Spring 2024 scholarships. A separate application for 2024-2025 scholarships will be posted later in the Spring 2024 semester. The 2024-2025 scholarship will be available to incoming fresman, incoming transfer students, and continuing students.

Disbursement and Continuation

Disbursement will be made in disbursement during the Spring semester directly into the recipient’s student account upon verification of award eligibility: minimum enrollment, major, academic standing, and GPA.

Scholarship recipients must accept the scholarship award notification email by the indicated date. Recipients who fail to enroll full-time (unless in the final/graduating semester) by the UH Official Reporting Date (ORD), will constitute automatic forfeiture of the scholarship.

Recipients of this scholarship may apply for (and accept) other scholarships for which the recipient is eligible. However, if a recipient applies for federal financial financial aid, this scholarship may be used in calculating the eligibility level of the recipient’s financial aid and need.
