March 2 College Day!

This year’s March to College Day will be held on Friday, April 1st9:00 am to 2:00pm.

On March to College Day, we’ll be bringing about 70 high schoolers from KIPP Sunnyside High School and touring them around campus. Some kids have not started to think about college as a serious option, and you get to be able to help present that option to them!

 Here are some need-to-knows:
 1. There are three shifts: 9:00-10am, 10:00am-11:00am, and/or 11:00-12:30
 2. More volunteers are needed for the 9:00 shift as this is when we will be touring the kids around campus, and again there are 70 sophomores so we need a lot of help
3. If you volunteer for the 9:00 shift, we strongly feel you should attend a rehearsal hosted the same week on Wednesday after 2:30 or Thursday between 1-2:30pm, which you can sign up for on the link attached.
 4. From 10:00-11:00am there will be food served leading to the presentation from 11:00-12:30am going on, so we only need about 4 or so volunteers for each.
 5. We need item donations. We need snacks and school supplies that could be used as prizes for kids; if you donate you will receive 25pts and 50 for a large item such as a backpack. Please drop your items off at cubical #21 in UC North (that’s the location for office hours)

 Point Breakdown:
 LOTS OF POINTS!!!!
 100 per hour
 25 per item donated
 50 per larger item donated
25 for wearing your NSCS shirt
