Academy Sports and Outdoors Presents Sweet 16 UH Watch Party Friday, March 29 at Fertitta Center

Houston Advances in NCAA Tournament to face Kentucky

The Houston Cougar Men’s Basketball team (33-3) will make its first Sweet 16 appearance in 35 years. The No. 3 seed Houston Cougars will take on No. 2 seed University of Kentucky, Friday, March 29 at 9 p.m. in Kansas City. The official UH watch party, sponsored by Academy Sports and Outdoors with additional support from KHOU, is at Fertitta Center (3422 Cullen Blvd) Friday evening. Doors open at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The Auburn vs. North Carolina game will be televised inside the arena at 6:30 p.m., prior to the UH vs Kentucky tip-off at 9 p.m. The winner of these two games will meet in the Elite 8 on Sunday in Kansas City. The fanfare inside Fertitta Center will include Spirit of Houston band, cheerleaders, Cougar Dolls and Sasha the mascot. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.

Fans will need to enter the VIP Club Entrance on Holman Dr. Parking is available in the Stadium Garage (3874 Holman St., Houston, TX 77004) for $5.
