Industry Leaders Highlight Energy 101 at UH

Speakers Will Discuss Hot Issues, Offer Career Advice at Saturday Session

University of Houston students will host the fifth annual Energy 101 Conference on campus Saturday, Aug. 15, drawing speakers from a variety of industry roles.

The conference, sponsored by the Bauer MBA Energy Club, begins at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Cemo Hall Auditorium. It is open to students, energy professionals and the general public.

Speakers include Bob Broxson, managing director of Navigant Consulting, David Burman, analyst at  TransCanada, Mark May, manager of Americas Risk at Phillips 66, Vivek Sud, director of technology, innovation and product lifecycle management at Siemens Energy, and Rick Marriner, oil products trading manager at Motiva Enterprises. The conference will end with an industry roundtable discussion.     

WHAT:                           Energy 101, annual energy conference hosted by the Bauer MBA Energy Club.

WHEN:                           9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15.
