Presented by the University of Houston’s Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts, “Damaged Romanticism in Music” has provided Houstonians with a unique series of concerts, performances, readings and discussions. In November, it enters its home stretch with two events featuring Mitchell Center artist-in-residence Sarah Rothenberg.

This series is presented in conjunction with the exhibition “Damaged Romanticism: A Mirror of Modern Emotion” that runs through Nov. 15 at Blaffer Gallery, the Art Museum of UH.

• “Damaged Romanticism” All-Star Concert: 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, Moores Opera House at UH Presented in collaboration with Da Camera of Houston, this concert features a roster of international artists including pianist Sarah Rothenberg performing works juxtaposed with projected images from Blaffer Gallery’s “Damaged Romanticism” exhibition. At 7 p.m., Rothenberg and Terrie Sultan, director of the Parrish Art Museum and co-curator of the “Damaged Romanticism” exhibition. • Poetry and Music: A Conversation: 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21, Rothko Chapel (1409 Sul Ross) Renowned poet and former UH faculty member Adam Zagajewski joins forces with Rothenberg for an evening of readings, performances and conversations in conjunction with the exhibition.
