Update Your Emergency Contact Information

After IkeAs Hurricane Ike so powerfully reminded us, communicating reliably during an emergency can be a challenge. And at the University of Houston, we take the safety and security of our campus community very seriously.

During a crisis, it is crucial that we can provide you with the latest emergency information. And that’s where cell phones come in. When other technology, such as television, radio, landline telephones and the Internet, isn’t operational, your cell phone may still receive vital calls and text messages from the university. During Ike, we were able to provide critical information to thousands of employees because they chose to provide their cell phone numbers.

Take a few moments to add your cell phone number to your Emergency Contact Information. The number will only be used for official university business in extreme circumstances and will not become part of any public listing.

You are an important member of our Cougar community. Providing this information will help us ensure your safety.
