GIVES ASSIST TO UH BUSINESS STUDENTS
NBA Star to Discuss Franchising Opportunities, Announce Program
to Promote Diversity in Franchise Ownership
Houston Rockets basketball player Shane Battier and officials
from ServiceMaster Clean will announce a new program designed to
promote diversity and encourage minority groups to explore franchise
ownership during a student forum March 21 at the University of Houston.
The student forum on franchise opportunities vs. standard entrepreneurship
businesses is from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Bauer College of Business.
Battier, who is a spokesman for ServiceMaster Clean, also will discuss
a new partnership to award five cleaning franchises to U.S. residents
in 2007. The event is co-sponsored by the Center for Entrepreneurship
& Innovation at the Bauer College of Business.
