Adapted into a musical by Rob Landes and Sidney Berger, “Cinderella”
is the classic tale of a wicked stepmother and her selfish daughters
set against the goodness of a lonely young girl, who learns, through
the guidance of a fairy godmother, to recognize her own beauty.

Blaffer Gallery – Urs Fisher’s
‘Mary Poppins’ and Tam Van Tran’s ‘Psychonaut’
Blaffer Gallery’s latest exhibitions feature Urs Fischer’s
“Mary Poppins” and Tam Van Tran’s “Psychonaut.”
Fischer’s drawings, collages, sculptures and installations
evoke an existence ruled by extremes: the banality and complexity
that is life. Van Tran’s art consists of punched, crunched,
stapled and woven paper brushed with chlorophyll and spirulina.
It is described as a meditation on the natural world with a psychological
twist. The exhibits run through Aug. 5. Blaffer Gallery, 120 Fine

The UH Summer Arts Workshop, geared toward children 6-12, will
be held five consecutive Wednesdays through July 26. The art-making
workshops encourage children to think creatively and learn about
