Concert

Blaffer Gallery: Jessica Stockholder, Kissing the Wall: Works, 1988-2003
Blaffer Gallery’s current exhibit is “Jessica Stockholder, Kissing the Wall: Works, 1988-2003.” Stockholder's work fuses found objects ranging from construction materials to furniture and textiles to discarded household items, as well as more conventional art making items, into works of art that blur the boundary between painting and sculpture, object and environment, decorative beauty and practical use. Lecture: Are the Answers in the Archives?
Sponsored by the University of Houston History Dept., this lecture features Walter B. Hill, Senior Archivist and Subject Area Specialist at the National Archives and Records Administration.
