Concert: Instanpitta
The Moores School of Music, in collaboration with the Association of Women Writers of Spain and the Americas, the UH Spanish Graduate Student Organization, the Institute for Hispanic Culture and the Consulate of Spain in Houston proudly present an evening of Spanish Medieval and Renaissance music playing period instruments. 7:30 p.m., Oct. 25. Blaffer Gallery: Jessica Stockholder, Kissing the Wall: Works, 1988-2003
Blaffer Gallery’s current exhibit is “Jessica Stockholder, Kissing the Wall: Works, 1988-2003.” Stockholder's work fuses found objects ranging from construction materials to furniture and textiles to discarded household items, as well as more conventional art making items, into works of art that blur the boundary between painting and sculpture, object and environment, decorative beauty and practical use.
