Hello MVP volunteers my name is Maureen Durojaiye! I am a senior and I major in Health and Minor in Human Development and Family Studies. I have been in MVP for 3 years now and have enjoyed helping out our surrounding communities in third ward. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Houston working to acquire my Mechanical Engineering major. Even though I have only been in Metropolitan Volunteer Program for one year, I feel that through my love and constant involvement in my community I live MVP’s Mission to strive for volunteerism. If I had to describe the feelings I get when I volunteer, one quote says it all. “There is no better exercise for your heart, than reaching down and helping to lift someone up.”

Skye–Lynn: Marketing Co–Chair

Skye-Lynn

My name is Skye–Lynn and I am a sophomore at UH. My major is Kinesiology Sports Administration. I think volunteering is important because you get to help people that may be struggling a little or clean up the Earth a little. A little effort can go a long way.
