MVP Week

Join the Metropolitan Volunteer Program as we celebrate our 25th anniversary with a week full of service. Students who attend 2 or more events will receive a 25th anniversary MVP shirt while they last!


Make a difference on our campus by assisting in the upkeep of one of our gardens which is located on the corner of Wheeler and Cullen. Volunteers are needed to assist with planting seeds, removing roots, hydrating the garden's soil, and more! Please contact Samuel Marshall with any questions.

Tuesday - Cards & Sandwiches

Help MVP prepare peanut butter & jelly sandwiches for the homeless at the Star of Hope Transitional Living Center for Women & Families. Volunteers are also needed to make cards for hospital patients to brighten their day. Please contact Sara Lalani with any questions.

Wednesday – Revolution of Heroes

Are you looking for volunteer opportunities that interest you? Come out to our volunteer fair for a chance to learn about various community service organizations on campus and from the surrounding Houston metropolitan area. We will have a live DJ and opportunities for you to win prizes. Please contact Tiara Parks with any questions.

Thursday: Houston Food Bank


Time: 6 PM – 9 PM
Location: 535 Portwall St.  Houston, TX 77029

Volunteers are needed to assist with sorting and packaging food that will be distributed to those in need in the Houston Area. Carpool will be provided for volunteers; the entire group will meet and depart from the UC at 5 pm. Please contact Lyana Salehuddin with any questions.

Friday: 25th Birthday Celebration
