Houston Cougars To Take on Memphis
The Houston Cougars (8-2), coming off of a disappointing loss to UCF, prepare to close out the final two regular season games at home. The Cougars are already bowl eligible but are still fighting for a spot in the C-USA Championship game. UH hosts Memphis at home on Nov. 21, 2009 at noon.

UH Launches Digital Library
The University of Houston is taking its traditional special research collections online, for all of the world to see and learn from. Starting with seven collections, including images of Houston's history, the Galveston hurricane of 1915 and the Texas City disaster of 1947, new collections will continue to come online as the images, audio and video files are put into digital formats.

UH Arts Program Earns Presidential Award
The University of Houston Blaffer Gallery's Young Artist Apprenticeship Program receives the 2009 'Coming Up Taller Award' from the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities. YAAP representatives accepted the award from First Lady Michelle Obama on November 4, 2009. This is the only Texas program to win the award this year, and the first Houston recipient ever.

UH Sleep Apnea: Non-contact Diagnosis
University of Houston and UTHSC at Houston researchers collaborate on first-of-its-kind research to diagnose sleep apnea using a non-contact thermal infrared imaging camera and advanced computer science. The research was published in the November 2009 medical journal SLEEP.

UH Homecoming Day 10.24.09
UH students, alumni and football fans spent Saturday afternoon celebrating Homecoming on campus. Thousands participated in the annual parade, tailgating and pre-game festivities. Celebrating a Top 20 football program and numerous academic accolades, this was one of the largest homecoming celebrations ever for the university.
