MAES Mission

Originally founded in 1974, today our mission is to promote, cultivate, and honor excellence in education and leadership among Latino engineers and scientists. We strive for a future where Latinos are leaders in the engineering and science world.

Dues can be paid online or in person. If you want to pay in person please pay your dues to the Membership Coordinator or to any available officer.

You may also pay your dues during a MAES General Meeting or by visiting the MAES facilites.

MAES News

Fifth General Meeting

When: Tuesday, April 19th @ 7:00 PM

Where: AAH 108

Speaker: BASF

Come out to our fifth general meeting where you can find out more about our upcoming events and other announcements. You will also have the chance to network with other MAES members while enjoying a free meal. Do not forget that attending this meeting will earn you some points.

MAES Study Night

When: Wednesday, April 20th from 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Where: Agnes Arnold 110

Come join us at our study night where you will have the chance to study along other MAES members. There will be upper class students available to help if needed. We will have free snacks and refreshments to make your studying session more enjoyable. Do not forget that attending our studying session you will earn some points!

Out of the Darkness Walk

When: Saturday, April 16th from 9am - 12pm

Where: Lynn Eusan Park

Come join MAES in this important awareness event. When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Campus Walks, you join the effort with thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow AFSP to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. Super Smash Bro. Tournament

When: Saturday, April 18th 2016 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm

Where: Science and Engineering Classrooms 204 and 205

Hello everyone, as mentioned at our general meeting, we will be having a Super Smash Bro. tournament. Due to unforeseen circumstances, an exact location and date hasn't been set. Please keep an eye out on our social media for further details.

End of Semester Party

When: Saturday, April 23rd from 1:00am to 5:00pm

Where: Herman Park

As the semester comes to an end, we will like to thank all the professionals that took time out of their busy schedules to help us out this semester. So come out and hang out with the MAES familia and the professionals. There will be food and outdoor sports to play. Come and have some fun!

MAES Symposium Scholarship Deadline!!!

Are you ready to begin our journey to symposium? Hopefully everyone is as excited as we are. An important deadline we would like for you all to take in consideration is APRIL 30, this is when the MAES symposium scholarship is due. We would like encourage as many people as possible to apply for this scholarship. The more people apply, the higher our chances to get this scholarship. This scholarship is an opportunity you would not like to miss. Below is the link to the scholarship so you all can take a look at it and get a better idea of the requirements.
