Lavender Graduation

Lavender Graduation, also known as Lav Grad, is an annual ceremony conducted on numerous campuses to honor lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and ally students and to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the University.  This event is celebrated by colleges and universities across the United States since 1995.

Spring Ceremony Registration

Are you graduating in May? Join other LGBTQ graduating students, alumni, and distinguished guests as we recognize your accomplishments and unique experiences. Graduates are welcome to invite their friends, family, and supporters. The ceremony will be followed by our LGBTQ Alumni Association reception! As a graduate, you will receive either a lavender or rainbow graduation cord and certificate.

There is no cost associated with participating. To receive a cord and certificate, you must complete the registration form.

Fall Ceremony Registration

Parking

For those unfamiliar with campus, we recommend parking in the UH Welcome Center Garage or the UH Hilton Garage. Both are across the street from the Student Center South building.
