Capella Tucker came to
KUHF as a part-time reporter in the Spring of 1994. She has since
become a full-time, overworked general assignments reporter. Capella
has a knack for finding stories that require numerous sources and
reams of data that she somehow always makes understandable for KUHF's
audience. Capella also often finds herself reporting on some of the
area's most complicated and long-term stories, such as the City Hall
FBI sting and the Affirmative Action issue. She also follows these
for National Public Radio.
Capella was recently elected to the Press Club of Houston's board
of directors; she also serves as the organization's treasurer. Along
with Capella's news duties, she is the producer of The
Engines of Our Ingenuity. Capella is also the local news host
for Saturday Weekend Edition and Car Talk.
