Community Arts Academy

Building a music-making community in support of a lifelong approach to music education

The CAA Experience

At the Community Arts Academy, we believe in curating and fostering a comprehensive approach to musicianship training.

CAA is an exceptional music and arts school based out of the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston central campus. We offer music instruction in piano, voice and violin to students of all ages and levels in the form of weekly private lessons, weekly group theory classes and multiple collegiate-level performance opportunities exclusive to UH.

CAA is a non-credit, non-degree granting program, and our student-oriented classes are open to musicians of all levels. Classes for youth and adults begin August 26, 2019.

Why CAA?

  • Our unique combination of group lessons with one-on-one instruction offers a positive experience for our students that enhances learning within a supportive community
  • We are committed to helping our students to help accomplish individual goals so that they become well-rounded musicians
  • Our highly skilled instructors include Moores School of Music faculty, qualified graduate students, University of Houston alumni, area music specialists and guest clinicians
  • All classes are held in the Moores School of Music and students have access to University resources
