Guest Lecture: Natalie Dupecher

Tuesday, April 9, 2019

11:30 am - 1:30 pm

The School of Art presents a talk by Natalie Dupecher, assistant curator of Modern Art at the Menil Collection.

About the Speaker
Dupecher specializes in modern art in Western Europe and the United States, with an emphasis in the historical avant-garde and Surrealism. She is currently finishing her doctoral studies at Princeton, where she is completing a dissertation on the art and writing of German-born artist Hans Bellmer (1902 – 75), arguing that he used both to explore and give form to his conviction that the body was structured like a language, amenable to disarticulation and reorganization. She earned her M.A. in art history from Princeton University and also holds an M.A. from the Williams College Graduate Program in the History of Art.
