DATABook Houston

DATABook Houston is a data service that has been provided by the Center for Public Policy for nearly a decade. Under the direction of the Center's new Institute for Regional Forecasting this service has been significantly expanded and made even easier to obtain. Currently, the IRF maintains time-series data on 65 key variables related to the local economy. These series come from a variety of sources such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Bureau of the Census, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, and from the Institute's own research. Each month these data are updated to reflect the most current information possible on Houston economic trends and are recompiled and sent in hard copy form to annual subscribers. The published report presents the data in both table and graphic format. A cover page highlights the data series which are most important to the current month's outlook for Houston. For a comprehensive review of the data available, see DATABook Highlights, DATABook Contents, and DATABook DATA Dictionary pages.

Annual subscriptions to DATABook Houston are $199.00 per year and can be obtained by printing, filling out and mailing in the IRF Order Form. Note that DATABook Houston subscriptions are also available on a quarterly basis or a single month's report can be obtained as well. The advantage of the annual subscription received monthly is that the subscriber will always have the most up-to-date data (which changes significantly each month) and each month's highlight page (which gives our most current thoughts on the economy), all at a substantial savings per report over the other alternatives.
