Meet Now

Meet Now is used when you want to meet without delay. You don't want to schedule a meeting, you want to meet right now. Every version of Lync has the Meet Now feature. Select a version of Lync to see how to access Meet Now.

2010 Meet Now
Lync 2010
  1. Click the Meet Now menu item or click the arrow next to the Options icon and select Meet Now.
  2. In the Group Conversation window that appears, phone call is the default meeting type. Click the Video icon to have a video conference or the Sharing icon to begin sharing.
  3. Drag and drop names onto the Group Conversation window from your Contacts list to add participants or click the People icon and select Invite by Name or Number to invite someone who is not a Lync Contact.

2011 Meet Now
Lync 2011
  1. From the Conversation menu, select Meet Now.
  2. From the sub-menu, select the desired meeting type: Call, Video or Desktop Sharing.
  3. Drag and drop names onto the Group Conversation window from your Contacts list to add participants or click the Options icon and select Invite by Name or Number to invite someone who is not a Lync Contact.

2013 Meet Now
Lync 2013
  1. Click the Meet Now menu item or click the arrow next to the Options icon and select Meet Now.
  2. In the Join Meeting Audio dialog box that appears, choose an audio option.
  3. In the Group Conversation window that appears, phone call is the default meeting type. Click the Video icon to have a video conference or the Sharing icon to begin sharing.
  4. Drag and drop names onto the Group Conversation window from your Contacts list to add participants or click Invite More People and use the Invite by Name or Number dialog box to invite someone who is not a Lync Contact.
