Connecting to the University Network

To maximize individual and departmental use of computer resources while minimizing disruptions to other campus organizations, each department must have a plan for connecting departmental devices to the university network.
Departmental management, technology staff and users.
To connect devices, such as desktop computers, shared printers, and
departmental servers, review and follow the procedures for Connecting
Devices to University Communication Networks.
NOTE: The University of Houston has standards that departments may elect to adopt. Incorporating the standards used by IT allows employees access to user support by the central IT department. Refer to IT Support Standards for more information.
