Purpose
To ensure that employees properly use and maintain computer resources, each department must have a plan for training on hardware and software.
Scope
Departmental management, technology staff, and users.
Process Overview
- Perform a training needs analysis based on usage.
- Develop departmental procedures for training.
- Train employees using available IT resources.
NOTE: Information Technology offers a variety of free (non-credit) computer training courses to faculty, staff, students, and alumni in good standing. IT offers instructor-led courses, as well as computer-based training. For more information, go to the IT Training page on the IT website.
