For security reasons, customers should not connect their own wireless access point to the UH wired network without assistance. Customers in areas not covered by UHWireless or UHSecure who have set up their own wireless access points, or others who want to bring their access point into compliance can register their access point by using the Non-IT Access Point Registration Form. Safari may experience trouble displaying this form properly.

All wireless access points connected to the UH wired network must be registered with and authorized by UIT. Unauthorized access points have the potential to interfere with authorized UH access points and present a security risk to network resources. The process of registration includes submitting the online form and ensuring the access point has security turned on. Devices that use the wireless network must have VPN security and authentication.
