Streaming Media and Video Production

Audio and Video Production

Our broadcast-quality audio and video services are extensively used for research, instruction, documentation, and public relations purposes. Most services can usually be done in less than five working days. Major television productions are an exception.

IT has one ITV studio in room 11D in the MD Anderson Library basement.

Studio. The studio is designed for the Distance Education program and features broadcast-quality TV equipment. The studio is available for the recording of presentations when not scheduled for ITV teaching. The teaching area has a computer and can be connected for video conferencing.

Audio Services. We provide professional audio production and editing. Productions are recorded in IT facilities or on-location.

An in-house professional narrator is available for recording client scripts if they choose not to do so themselves.

Video Services. IT is the home of UH instructional television broadcast facilities. These facilities and experienced staff allow IT to offer exceptional non-broadcast video services as well. Services include taping, editing and mixing, special effects, computer-generated graphics, and duplication. Videotape that will be edited and duplicated is recorded on BETA-SP or Digital formats in the TSS studio or on location.

Tape-to-tape format conversion is available for clients with tapes recorded in foreign formats (PAL or SECAM) or who wish to transfer U.S. (NTSC) tapes to these formats. This service is especially helpful to those sending or receiving tapes to or from world-wide colleagues.

Additionally we offer excellent post-production services for client-produced videotapes.
