A problem with UH Victoria's primary WAN connection is causing a disruption of network services. Service quality is degraded by 95-100%. The service provider for the connection has reported a problem within their network, and is investigating at this time.

A fiber cut has been reported by Level 3's fiber provider. 

Level 3 reports the cut is approximately 23,500 feet from the Hardy POP. 

Level 3 technicians are en route to assess the damage.

Network services have been disrupted to/from UH Victoria campus.

The estimated time to repair has not been established.

The UH Victoria WAN connection has been moved to a different, undamaged fiber, restoring connectivity. We are still waiting for LEARN to repair the damaged fiber.
