Services administrators are currently investigating the incident. There is an unexpected issue with the authentication server that supports these services. Please use UHWireless service as a temporary workaround until the incident has been restored.

One of 2 servers was experiencing issues, and was shutdown to restore services. The second server is maintaining services at this time.

VPN and UHSecure clients have continued to experience intermittent issues. Analysts have identified a solution they expect to implement in 24 to 48 hours.
DisruptedThe university's Cisco Virtual Private Network client authentication issue is resolved. PPTP based VPN and UHSecure wireless clients will continue to experience authentication issues.

Our success includes Apple's built-in VPN. A satisfactory solution using PPTP based VPN such as the Microsoft Windows product families, and UHSecure wireless clients will continue to experience authentication issues.

VPN and UHSecure authentication services are available. 

PPTP based VPN (such as Microsoft Windows and LINUX product families) and UHSecure wireless clients will continue to experience intermittent authentication issues. 

If you continue to have PPTP VPN authentication issues, go to www.uh.edu/software to download the university's Cisco VPN client.

For continued UHSecure authentication issues, use the university's Cisco VPN client and use UHWireless.

Progress has been made toward resolving the authentication issues. Analysis has been ongoing as well as preparations for implementing discovered solutions.

Windows SMEs identified an error with domain controllers and has corrected the error to restore UHSecure and VPN authentication services.
