DisruptedThe UH network connection to the internet has been cut on the vendor side. Internet service is disrupted. We are monitoring vendor repairs.

The UH network connection to the internet has been cut on the vendor side and has disrupted our services to and from campus. We are currently accessing the internet through a backup service. Until primary connectivity is restored, users can expect intermittent slow load times and web page time-out failures.

We are in communications with the vendor and are monitoring the status of repairs. This outage is affecting services in the greater Houston area.  The vendor has mobilized a restoration crew, and they are working diligently to restore service as quickly and as safely as possible. At this time, AboveNet expects services to be restored around 11 PM this evening. 

UIT will provide information updates on the status of the network disruption on the UIT website.  We appreciate your patience as we monitor vendor repairs.
