Section 3: Programming Conventions

1. Coding Conventions
   Detailed coding conventions should be followed as outlined in Standards for Natural 1, chapters 4 and 5 or Standards for Natural 2, chapters 7, 8, and 9.

2. Controls
   It is the responsibility of the developer to incorporate into the program the controls specified by users, MIS management or internal audit. Examples of controls are:
   • Validating input elements not checked by a previous program.

   • Showing specific control totals to be accumulated within the program.
