Section 3: Responsibility for Standards

Policies and procedures authority for MIS comes from the following sources:

1. The MIS internal functions come under the director of MIS.
2. MIS internal functions that involve University financial transactions require the co-approval of Internal Audit.

Implementation:

1. All supervisory and management personnel within MIS are responsible for ensuring that the provisions set forth in the manual are followed.
2. Supervisors are responsible for:
• Seeing that all work falling under their responsibility is performed according to applicable standards.
• Training new employees in the use of standards as they apply to the particular job operation as defined in the documented procedure.
• Ensuring that input received from other sources meets required standards.
