    Opera fans enthusiastically applauded the University of Houston’s Moores Opera Center productions of “Rappaccini’s Daughter” and “Frau Margot.” Both operas continue to earn ovations … including top honors from the National Opera Association.

    The Texas Psychological Association (TPA) presented its highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award, to Robert McPherson, dean of the University of Houston College of Education. The event occurred at the TPA’s annual convention in San Antonio.

  • 'Unsilent Night' Celebrates the Season Along Bayou

    The holidays often conjure up images of sleigh rides and snow. In Houston, however, community members are more familiar with the lush, green environment of the city’s bayous. Soon, families can kick off the holiday season along one of the city’s waterways during one of the city’s most unique celebrations, “Unsilent Night.”
