First Year Curriculum
The first year of the Industrial Design Program focuses on developing core design fundamentals. Industrial design and architectural students work collectively to explore projects in the Architectural Design Studio.
Fall semester projects develop composition, color theory two and three-dimension spatial relationships in addition to basic material usage and manipulation.
The spring semester delves deeper into model making as it relates to the industrial design and architecture fields. This semester’s pedagogy seeks to observe a common ground between the two design curricula.
