Alumni, businesses, nonprofit organizations, foundations and community leaders work together in supporting our David M. Underwood Chapter of American Humanics.
You can support our work and advance the preparation of nonprofit leaders in two ways.
Tax-deductible gifts. You or your organization can make tax-deductible donations of any size to our AH chapter. We invite you to consider gifts to fund scholarships, important program activities, and students attending the annual American Humanics Management Institute. We take pleasure in honoring donors in our quarterly newsletters and annual Student Association Yearbook, which we distribute to hundreds of nonprofit and community professionals, students, faculty and AH alumni.
Working partnerships. Nonprofit organizations in and around Houston — many of which also give financial support to our chapter — serve as Nonprofit Partners with the University of Houston in preparing AH students for careers in nonprofit leadership. They provide our students meaningful internship and volunteer opportunities, serve as guest lecturers in our classes and help shape our curriculum. Affiliated internship organizations get first crack at well-trained and prepared volunteers, interns and new hires.
