INTERACTION SKILLS FOR SUCCESS (Part I)

Who should attend: This course is open to staff-level employees.

Prerequisites: None

How long: 5 hours divided into two sessions of 2 ˝ hours each over the course of two days.

PLEASE NOTE: You must enroll separately for Part II held on 12.10.09

Improving people’s interaction skills improves the way an organization thinks and acts. This course presents the basics on how to work well together, reduce wasted time, lessen conflict and influence interactions in a positive way.

Following this course, participants will be better able to:

  • Choose the most effective way to interact with others in order to reduce wasted time and miscommunication.
  • Get what they need from their interactions.
  • Ensure they give people what they need from their interactions.
  • Maintain strong working relationships and reduce misunderstandings.

Please note: this course is a foundation course for some of the other courses offered. While it is not a formal prerequisite, many of the principles introduced in this course will be revisited in subsequent classes.
