Professional Development
Training starts when you do. Every new employee receives new hire training appropriate to their position. Depending on the position, new hire training may consist of on-the-job training, classroom training and/or field experience.

The University of Houston provides extensive internal training, encourages promotions from within, and offers mentoring opportunities and career self-help programs. We offer excellent educational reimbursement so that you can take advantage of college coursework while on campus. In addition, many departments offer seminars during lunch on a variety of subjects.
