Holiday Fire Safety
While the winter holiday season is filled
with festivities and decor, we should always
be aware of the potential fire risks that
can easily be avoided.
The Department of Public Safety – Fire
Marshal’s Office provides a guide that
departments should use to make sure this
holiday season is a safe one.
A few hints:
1. Open flames are prohibited.
2. Cut natural trees must be approved by the
DPS Fire Marshal’s Office.
3. Decorations must be removed before
leaving for the holiday break.
