Help UH Go Green 2 drawings and 2 chances to win!
The payroll office will be holding two
drawings for iPod 1G shuffles for all
employees that help UH “go green” by
choosing direct deposit and electing to stop
receiving paycheck stubs every pay
period. Small choices made by UH employees
will significantly impact resources and time at UH while promoting a
paperless campus that is environmentally
friendly.
All employees that have
elected to stop receiving paystubs will be
eligible to win an iPod shuffle at the Human
Resources Benefits Fair to be held on July
29th. The payroll office booth will have
computers available at the fair to assist
employees as they make their elections through
PASS.
In addition, any employee that initiates
a new direct deposit or elects to stop
receiving their paystub
during the months of July or August are eligible
to win a second iPod shuffle to be awarded
on August 31st.
Why should I choose Direct
Deposit?
Better and faster access to your
pay.
Employees immediately eliminate
check-cashing fees that they may have
historically paid to access their wages
each payday.
Employees are not required to
go to their worksite to pick up
paychecks on days off or during
vacations.
Access to your pay 24 X 7, even
when you go on vacation.
Lost or stolen paper paychecks take
longer to replace.
Employees experience increased
safety and security associated with not
having to physically carry their entire
pay on their person, in cash, after
cashing their paycheck.
Trips to wait in line to cash paper
paychecks at banks or check cashing
establishments become unnecessary.
Wages can be accessed via 24-hour
ATM networks.
Employees help decrease the remote
chance of not being paid timely due to
unforeseen circumstances, such as
natural disasters, that can impact the
delivery of paper paychecks.
Why should I choose to no longer
receive my paper paystub?
Exposure to identity theft decreases
as the likelihood of personal
information ending up in
the wrong hands is eliminated when
paychecks and paystubs are no
longer issued to employees on paper.
Employees can access all information
about every paycheck 24 hours a day/ 7
days a week through PASS.
Employees can print only those
paycheck stubs they need and can view
all of them at anytime online.
It helps UH become more “green” and
paperless.
It saves UH resources from printing
and distributing.
