Parking Permits

Last year Parking & Transportation Services (PTS) offered Faculty/Staff parking permit registration on-line for the first time. This year we’re improving the process and revamping our policies to provide an even better experience. Internally we have called it “Phase 2,” and it brings some exciting changes and improvements to the registration process.

We will now have a more standard login process that will use the My UH (PeopleSoft) ID and the employee’s birth date as the method more closely resembles logging into PASS. In addition, we will be adding disabled and motorcycle permit registration. Only employees with current disabled permits on file will be able to register online for a disabled permit. Motorcycle permits will be issued free of charge for the next academic year, and we expect many people will take advantage of this service.

PTS has also submitted a request to increase UH parking permits by 7% in FY2009. This request is pending approval by the UHS Board of Regents.

Online registration will open April 15, 2008 and run through June 30, 2008. PTS encourages all Faculty and Staff to “get online and stay out of line” this registration period.

Contact the PTS office at 713-743-1097 or parking@uh.edu for more information.
