Benefits & Payroll
ORP State Contribution Change
We received notification
from the Texas Higher
Education Coordinating Board
that as of September 1,
2009, the state base rate
for ORP employer
contributions will be 6.4%.
This rate will be in effect
for the FY10-FY11 biennium,
which includes school years
09-10 and 10-11. There's no
change to the ORP employee
contribution rate, which
remains at 6.65%.Please
note ORP participants
pre-1996 are not affected by
this state base rate change.
