Texas Learning and Computation Center (TLC2)
The Texas Learning and Computation Center
(TLC2) at UH actively seeks opportunities to
host summer camps or campus tours.
TLC2’s mission is to support and foster
interdisciplinary research, education and
training at UH and beyond. We take our
mission seriously and especially like to
encourage young students to enter the
science and technology fields.
We can help spark their imagination and
interest in science by:
- offering a technology demonstration by
TLC2-affiliated researchers in our high-tech
classrooms (built with NASA funding)
- showing 2D/3D simulations in our
newly-renovated, state-of-the-art
Visualization Theater
- coordinating with other research centers
on campus tours
- coordinating with non-UH organizations,
like NASA, to have educational materials for
students and teachers
- arranging other activities to encourage
students to enter the science and technology
fields (and make UH their education
destination!)
UH summer programs, among others, that we
have hosted in the past include:
-
ExxonMobil Bernard
Harris Summer Science Camp
-
Girls Reaching and
Demonstrating Excellence (GRADE)
-
All-N-One
For an organization to request an event at
TLC2, they should contact:
