FY08 New Hire Mandatory Training

New employees are automatically enrolled in the following mandatory online new hire training once their HR status becomes active, and it is determined that the employee has not already met the training requirements for the fiscal year:

Course CodeCourse Name
F08040FY08-NewHire-SecureOurSystems
F08041FY08-NewHire-FraudAwareness
F08042FY08-NewHire-CodeofEthicss
F08043FY08-NewHire-EEO

All new employees (faculty, students & staff) should complete these trainings within 30 days of hire. As a result enrollments are processed on a weekly basis, and notifications are distributed directly to the employee via email Monday mornings when the courses become available in the employee's personal UHS Online Training account.

The following queries have been created so that departments can easily monitor their new  employee's new hire training status.

Query Name Description
UHSTRAIN_FY08_NEWHIRE_BYCOLL Status-Active Employees by College
UHSTRAIN_FY08_NEWHIRE_BYDEPT Status-Active Employees by Department
UHSTRAIN_FY08_NEWHIRE_BYDIV Status-Active Employees by Division
UHSTRAIN_FY08_NEWHIRE_CAMPUS Status-Active Employees by Campus

The above queries list new employees that have been enrolled in the FY08 mandatory new hire trainings. After successful completion of each training, the employee's attendance status in the query results will change from "enrolled" to "completed." If the employee's attendance status is enrolled, the employee has not completed or has not obtained the minimum passing grade for that particular course. While an employee is still "enrolled" in a training, the status date will indicate the date the employee was enrolled in the training. Remember employees should complete this training within 30 days of hire.  The status date can help you determine the week that the employee was entered or became active in the personnel system.

Should you have any questions regarding new hire training or the queries listed above, please contact the Customer Service Center at 713-743-3988.
