The Texas Legislature determines the level of funding for such benefits and has no continuing obligation to provide those benefits beyond each fiscal year. | Medical/Prescription Drugs |
 There are two medical plans in the Group Benefits Program: HealthSelectSM of Texas and health maintenance organizations (HMOs). Both provide comprehensive health and prescription drug benefits, but there are some differences in the way benefits work.

| There are two plans to choose from for dental coverage. Each has different costs, benefits, and participating dentists.

| Life and Disability (optional coverage) |

| If you qualify for the State Kids Insurance Program (SKIP), you pay lower monthly premiums to cover your children under age 19.
