“Retirement @ Work” portal is now live and accessible via the UH Human Resources benefits page or AccessUH. Please visit http://www.uh.edu/human-resources/benefits/ for more details and access to the single sign-on link. Take advantage of our new and improved retirement program. Human Recourses has launched an online Staff Resources Guide. This online guide is a collection of resources available to the University of Houston community. Effective immediately, the online Staff Resources Guide replaces the Employee Staff Handbook manual.

payroll

Payroll Listserv Self-Enrollment is now available! The Listserv provides critical information for payroll deadlines and business processes. The Self-Enrollment page is located on the HR website Payroll Services page.

TRAM

You can enroll in TRAM Trainings through P.A.S.S. by clicking on the “Request Training Enrollment” located under the Training section.  You can search by course name or course number. Choose your session, and continue to submit the request. See you in the next TRAM training class!

I-9-process

Per MAPP 02.03.06, the I-9 requirements are as follows:

A new I-9 must be completed for each employee if:

  • Newly-hired to the University; or
  • Rehired by the University with a break in service longer than one calendar year;
  • Rehired by the University within one year of the last date of service with changes to the I-9 work authorization or documentation you provided on your previous I-9 has expired.

Employees and leaders should be working together to achieve their established SMART goals for this evaluation period. If employees have not completed the Establish Performance Criteria phase, please do so now. Employees and their managers must have Establish Performance Criteria completed in order to successfully acheive your performance goals.

Register for the Inaugural Take Your Child to Work Day on June 9

child to workSave the date and participate in the inaugural Take Your Child to Work Day, supported by UH Staff Council.  Children ages eight through 13 will be able to accompany their parents to work from 8 to 11 a.m., Friday, June 9 and participate in an activity on campus. Parents must attend the activity chosen with their child. Children will also receive a voucher for a free lunch at Fresh Food Company. Summer 2017 Flex Time    
As the summer approaches, colleges and divisions may wish to implement a flex work week for their regular, full-time employees. In compliance with University of Houston MAPP 02.04.02, a summer work schedule has been established for 2017.

The summer work schedule will begin on May 31, 2017 and end on Aug. 8, 2017 for non-exempt employees. The summer work schedule will begin on June 1, 2017 and end on Aug. 11, 2017 for exempt employees. We encourage department heads and supervisors to review the Summer 2017 Flex Time work schedule guidelines.
