Standard Hiring Range What is the standard hiring range, and what if I want to make an offer outside that range?

The Standard Hiring Range is minimum to midpoint of the job grade for the posted job. Any hires or promotions above midpoint must have prior approval from Compensation and may require other approvals as well.

To make an offer above midpoint, the candidate should typically have least 5 years of education or experience beyond the minimum job requirements.

Hiring in the fourth quartile is not advisable because it limits the employee's growth opportunities. Hiring below the minimum is not allowed under any circumstances.
