Consideration Dates
Applications to the Honors College are accepted year-round. Late applications will automatically be considered for the following semester. Students are encouraged to apply early, as the class may fill before the final application consideration date.
For fall candidates
December 1 — Priority consideration application date for fall semester admission to both the Honors College and the University of Houston.
April 1 — Honors College application deadline and supporting documents deadline for admission for the fall semester.
April 1 — University of Houston application and supporting documents deadline for admission for the fall semester. Visit the University of Houston Admissions website for additional information about UH admissions.
For spring candidates
December 1 — Application and supporting documents deadline for spring semester admission to the Honors College.

Freshman applicants seeking University Scholarships are advised to apply during the fall semester of the student's senior year in high school, as the University reserves the right to cease awarding scholarships once funds are exhausted.
*Beginning in October, the Honors College admissions committee meets regularly to review applications for the following fall semester. The admissions committee will continue to review applications for admission until the fall class is filled. Final decisions for spring admission are made during the first two weeks in January.
