Honors Admissions

Events for Prospective and Incoming Students

The Honors College invites academically serious students to apply for Honors admission, who are:

  • entering UH as freshmen, or
  • enrolled at UH for more than one semester, or
  • transferring from another college. 

 
March 8

Cougar Preview for prospective students considering Honors for fall 2008 (reservation info available here).
April 4 Cougar Friday for prospective students considering Honors for fall 2008 (reservations required). 
July 11 Cougar Friday for prospective students considering Honors for fall 2008 or fall 2009 (reservations required). 
   

Application Dates to Note

December 1  Deadline for applying to The Honors College for the spring semester. 
Final decisions for spring admission are made during the first two weeks in January. 
December 15 Date by which the Honors College application should be submitted for early consideration for the fall semester. 
April 1 Date by which the Honors College application should be submitted for regular consideration for the fall semester . 
April 1 Deadline to apply for admission to the University of Houston for the fall semester. Visit the UH admissions website for additional information. 
Fall applicants seeking University Scholarships are advised to apply during the fall semester of the student's senior year as the university reserves the right to cease awarding scholarships at any time if funds are exhausted.  		 
July 1 Date by which the Honors College application should be submitted for late consideration for the fall semester .
