Dean's Marathon Reading

The Fall 2014 Dean's Marathon Reading will be Walt Whitman's "Song of Myself."

Join the dean at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, in the Commons for traditional American music, followed by the reading at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be provided; costumes are strongly encouraged.

About the Dean's Marathon Reading

Each semester, the Honors College Dean invites students, faculty, and staff to join him for an all-night marathon reading.

During the event, the audience follows along in their books while readers take the mic to read a page or several.

Many attend in costume, and themed food and drinks are served.
